Description

Single sticks provide the proper 42” net height at the sidelines for singles play when using a doubles tennis net.

These silver singles sticks are made from 3/4” thick aluminum. One end of singles stick has end caps to protect the court surfaces. The other end has an injection-molded “V” groove to place the net headband.

Sold per pair.

Why do you need Singles Sticks? The rules of tennis state that the height of the net should be 36” in the center. Additionally, the rules specify that the height of the net above the sidelines should be 42”. Since courts are designed to accommodate singles and doubles play, the net post is installed just outside of the double’s sidelines. This leaves a 42” height above the double’s sidelines not the singles. This makes the net too low on the singles sidelines. Thankfully, singles sticks quickly fix this issue. When positioned correctly, they give the net a pronounced “V” shaped slope and set the singles sidelines at the proper net height of 42”.
