The Premier™ XS Series is the Cadillac of tennis posts, providing first-class looks and durability for both indoor and outdoor court applications. These tennis posts meet official ITF Tournament Regulations.

The Douglas® XS series tennis posts were designed in the early 2000s and are comprised of all the features of the classic premier posts plus additional durability, weather protection, and style options.

These tennis net posts are an excellent choice for any tennis facility including elite tennis clubs, tennis tournaments, and high school and college courts. With extra weather protection and heavy-gauge steel, these posts have proven to last!

DIMENSIONS

The tennis net posts measure 60” in length. Once the net posts are placed into the pre-installed ground sleeve the post sits 42” above the tennis court surface.

POST

These 2-7/8” O.D. round tennis posts are constructed from heavy-duty 8-gauge steel and feature Allied’s® superior Flo-coat® galvanization process. Posts are finished with a black, green, or open tournament blue baked-on polyester powder coat to resist rust and increase durability. The post features integrated welded steel lacing rods for securing the net to the post. With Douglas tennis court net posts, a base collar is placed at 42”, which acts as a stop to ensure the net post is installed at the correct height when it’s inserted into the ground sleeve.

HARDWARE

The Douglas® Premier™ XS tennis post series are all internally wound featuring a jam-free cable tensioning hardware system. The plated-steel self-locking gear mechanism prevents recoiling during winding. The internal gear function is a 30:1 ratio, ensuring smooth and easy operation. The gear housings and tennis post caps are made of die-cast zinc. The posts flush mounted gear plate cover and removable handle have a chrome finish. Plated steel or brass gears are also available.

If at some point the hardware needs to be replaced, it can easily be removed from the net post and a new gear assembly can be inserted into the post.

GROUND SLEEVES

Corresponding 24” ground sleeves are not included but can be purchased separately. Choose from PVC or Aluminum.

If you are constructing a new tennis court, it’s highly recommended to install ground sleeves in the concrete instead of directly installing the tennis posts in the concrete. In addition, if you live in an area that has winter months or periods in which you are unable to use the tennis courts, you can remove the net posts and store them which will increase the lifetime of the tennis posts. If at some point you need to replace the tennis court posts, you can slide the old net posts out of the sleeve and slide a new pair directly into the sleeve.

NOTE ON SHIPPING WHEN PURCHASING MORE THAN (1) SET OF POSTS  –    This product will be shipped via LTL Freight. The carrier will call you at the phone number provided on your order at least 24 hours in advance to set a delivery appointment. When the carrier arrives for delivery, there must be an adult present to inspect the items, sign the delivery receipt, and unload. Shipment must be thoroughly inspected upon receipt and any shortage or damage must be noted. Failure to properly note any discrepancies or issues may result in additional fees for replacement or repair.

Please note that truck drivers will not unload items – this is the sole responsibility of the recipient. If you do not have an elevated loading dock or forklift to unload your items from the truck, a liftgate may be required. A liftgate is a motorized platform attached to the back of the truck that will physically lower your order to the ground so that you can take it inside your business or home. The truck driver will place your order on the ground using the liftgate and you are responsible for moving it to the desired location at your property. This service is available for an additional fee and is NOT included with standard shipping on your order. If a Lift Gate is needed, please make this request to the carrier who will then contact us and provide a quote for the service. We will then contact you for approval/acceptance of the fee and confirmation to proceed.
